Anyone have a way of silencing the siren once the car battery is disconnected. Tried various combinations of reconnecting and plippering the plipper, all I achieve is differing weedy noises as a result? If I just allow its internal battery to die naturally, will it be a problem on reconnection. ISTR someone saying they took theirs out and drowned it, tempting but I would like to keep the status quo if poss.

Mine has a key switch on it, turn that and it goes off.

Thanks, nothing doing on the key front with mine. Just given up doing battle with it, left it bundled up with old jumpers to muffle it, just a rythmic clicking sound in the garage. Did think of shorting it out at its connector -hmm. I had to disconnect batt last winter to replace with new and alarm didn't complain in slightest.
