Thinking of getting one of these, don't see many of them about but i see lots of 335i's Has anybody on here any experience with them? how do they handle compared to the 3 series with a longer wheel base?

Not sure about handling but the 135i coupes with the N54 engine had big problems with the high pressure fuel pump. Get one with the N55 engine, problems are fixed in that one.

They are more nervous (= more fun) and certainley feel 'more chuckable' for want of a better term.
However, they really need a bit of chassis tweeking to get the best out of them to be honest.
Bin the runflat tyres (if still on them) and fit the front control arms from the M3 is the cheapest mod to do.
Fitting the M3 rear subframe bushes is the other recommended option, but this isn't cheap as the front two bushes need to be fitted from the top, which means dropping the whole rear subframe asssembly to do. Very worthwhile though.
I've just binned my run-flats so I'm looking at the M3 bits route first and then the Birds suspension at some point.

I've been in another 135i that has the full Birds B1 dynamics kit fitted (Birds spec Bilsteins and softer springs with thicker ARB's and Quaife LSD) plus the M3 arms and rear bushes and it was 'night & day' different to my stock one. Much better control and much better ride.
