LG 50PM670T OR LG 42LM620T
Discussion
as above, not sure which one to go for, one is LED the other Plasma. apart from screen size want to know which would be better for my needs.
will be hocking up with Sky as i watch lots of films, and play the occasional COD. (about 1hr per time)
Just found out that i get discount for LG TV's and can get either of these two for £520 each.

Ok, spotted this earlier, which has set me looking all over again.
The 50 inch is a plasma with active 3d and glasses are not supplied rather than the 42 which is an led and passive 3d are usually included.
The difference is that the active glasses need charging and sync with the screen, they turn the left and right eyes on and off in sync with image.
Passive one worked on a polarised image and the screens don't need to sync with the screen.

Yeah i spotted that as well but the deal i can get comes with glasses. but is passive better than active? The 50 inch is a plasma with active 3d and glasses are not supplied rather than the 42 which is an led and passive 3d are usually included.

Also really how much 3D will i watch after playing with it for a few weeks/month?
how often does everyone watch 3D at home?
will the novelty wear off.
and if does. which tv comes out on top, LED or Plasma?
For me it's no so much about the extras, both are same price, which would be better for me LED / Plasma?
(ttying to boil down to basic's)

i have the 42LM620T and its superb, i researched and looked at several models over a period of months and could not find a better performing TV for the money
I have the 47LM620T and can also confirm that its very good!! Watching poor quality SD content it does have the DSE issues but if you have sky ect you should not have any issues.Gassing Station | Home Cinema & Hi-Fi | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
