Ted, I don't know if this has been mentioned before or is already on your list but now there are 85 million PH members , I have trouble whenever I want to find someone's profile.

Can we have a seach facility where you can just put in the profile name and it takes you to their page? I notice you've worked on the page which takes you to profiles recently so it should be easy enough to remember what that tangle of mixed code does

cheers

You can get there quickly by clicking here

(As long as you can remember where they've posted recently)

Damn that didn't work as well as I'd hoped, not to worry

Funnily enough I almost implemented that feature in passing today. Instead I went out and got shit faced. I'll do it tomorrow if I remember

On a more serious note, it'd be nice to be able to look at members cars by type. As an example I thought I'd look up V8S's but there are 109 pages of TVR's to browse just a matter of refining the search, well that sounds easy, over to you

That's one I've been pondering... and I've just realised how to do it. I'll get to work on it this morning.

Ah, yes... sorry that was my local system.

The search for a model of car facility is now live too.

Jolly good - Thanks Ted.

One more thing - it would be nice to be able to use wildcards.

I was toying with that idea but couldn't decide whether there were any privacy implications.

Not sure I see what you mean - AFAIC any user's profile can be found if you're prepared to click through hundreds of pages of listings, no email addresses are given out and people take thier own decision on what info to put in their profiles.

Ted, are you tweaking the "owners" search as well as the link from the S section does this:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01f4'

Variable is undefined: 'sql_categoryJoin'

D:INETPUBPISTONHEADS2TVRS../../include/contents.asp, line 91

Thanks M@H, that's been fixed too.

Forget the ../find.asp link, just use the member directory page which now has a search box at the top.
