just looking at an ad str8six have it regarding a t350 it say it is producing 330 hp but i would have thought thats what a standard one was producing? always got the impression the staight 6 produced pretty near the quoted power so would have thought a red rose to be nearer 380hp??

I think that's 330 at the wheels, so near 400 after losses depending on what you use.

I don't think anyones ever seen more than about 375bhp @flywheel from a factory engine - Sag 4.0S, Tuscan 4.0S, Red Rose or whatever. Mine made 370 on TVR Powers dyno and Dom said that was the second best standard 4.0 he'd ever had on his rollers.

My old engine had 369, so right on the 'good' money.

My standard 3.6 has 333bhp according to SRR...

(They call it at the fly, Power would call it at the wheeels.)
Hope that helps.

my T350t has a 4 liter engine which generates from 380 to 385 at the flywheel with a 20% loss. I will scan the RR result tonight. I always believed 385 was normal for a 4liter red rose.
