Heat shield advice

So my chimaera is in for a chassis refurb at the moment and I'm in need of some heat shielding for the engine bay and the transmition tunnel.
My chim is an air con 500 and I've been told and seen that the heat shield goes the full length of the trans tunnel and is quiet thick. It's almost as if TVR got two pieces of heat shield and stuffed it with some sort of insulation.
My plan is to try and replicate the same but don't know where the best place is to buy the shielding and what to fill it with. I was thinking that ceiling insulation packed in might work. The guys doing the work on the chassis refurb have done quiet a fue chim refurbs but never seen one with shielding from front to back.
If anyone has seen this and can help I'd love to know.
