What sort of percentage of the cars actual sale value should be expected as a PX figure these days? Iv been looking at shifting the M-Tourer and have had some really cheeky quotes......some down right rude!!

I'd hope for £23k as it stands or £24 with a years warranty on mine selling privately so what should a PX figure be?

Expect at least 25% less for a part-ex then you won't be disappointed - so around £17k.

Well either they're being cheeky or your valuation is optimistic - I don't know enough about E61s to comment.

Had one for £14k! I think many dealers do not recognise the difference between E60 and E61. They should check AutoTrader and PH for their pricing!

btw ,i paid 26k for mine from bmw so 14k px is a big markup for them and there's none on the approved site

It's an option. Had a call Sunday off somebody wanting only the exhaust. Not heard since however.

To be honest I don't know why you're surprised. P/ex always favours the dealer so why expect anything else?

I've just traded my E92 M3 in and got IMO a surprisingly good offer from BMW.

I really think it depends on what you're buying and the price you're buying at to see if they can make the deal more attractive by offering a strong trade in value. Also if you're financing the new car through them they can be more generous with what they give you up front.

What are you looking at trading the E61 in for?

I'm local (and a regular user of their free coffee!) to Munich Legends and notice they've shifted a few E61's recently, maybe worth giving them a call to see if they have buyers looking for cars at the moment.

Had an offer of £19k today which is more reasonable (along with £15.5k and £17k), but i think i'll wait a couple of weeks and see what happens on the private side.

Oh, im looking at C63s again, specifically Performance Pack and Performance Pack Plus cars. The wife drove a Plus car at the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Lots of C63 owners over on MBClub. The Shooting Brake could be an interesting alternative to the Tourer though don't expect any better fuel consumption!
