Vito key not unlock/ locking car.
Discussion
Hi guys,
I thought that I'd pop in here and see if this is a common issue and if so, if there are any tips and tricks.
I've a 04 reg Vito van which quite often has key issues. The key starts and runs the van okay, but sometimes it won't lock/unlock it. When either of the 3 buttons are pressed, no red light shows.
I had this issue a while back and took the key apart in frustration. When I put it back together, it started working gain. So I suspect that the batteries are fine, but I've not renewed. The reason for this is the vans owner has said that the batteries are pretty new and he's had this problem on and off before.
It's the only key, the manual open is on the passenger side (?), why it's there and not the drivers I don't know, it makes quite a routine having to shuffle across and lock the doors then unlock etc to get out of the van and then lock the remaining opened door.
Any ideas other than batteries?
