Hi

As you may remember I was trying to sort out the History of the 350SE so the owners of the two no 6 cars can have it confirmed whos who!
Well I post up my finds a month or so ago but new/extra info came to light, mainly while tracing my SEs history
So with the help from the TVRCC factory records and the information from all the owners of the cars I can now show the results! (A copy of the list can be obtained from me via e-mail)

I have traced all the chassis numbers apart from 5 and only one of those cars is red so the car in question (Which was Red) is most likely that one (But we are talking TVR here!)

Also a couple of TVR myths have been disproved mainly the one which said the chassis numbers last digits were the cars id numbers, only one cars chassis digits match its id!
The second was they were all the same spec, i.e wheels etc, no owners could spec different wheels like OZ etc.

The bigest surprise is we now know the last 350i/SE made and it's possibly the last Wedge made in Jan 91 (Unless somebody knows different)
The car in question is no 21 (Yes my car)
The original car was written off in a serious accident in Dec 90. The owner persuaded the factory to build him a replacment which they did and numbered it 21!
Footnote to this is, the original cars remains were purchased and rebuilt by a garage in Preston. When the Factory heard about this they disowned that car!
All I can say is I am a happy man as I have the first 350i (Production) car and now the last production car and with the possibility of owning the last Wedge made!

Talk about Christmas present!

Andy

Always remember that every car made by TVR was a prototype for customer testing.

Except for the last in the line which was what all the testing was leading to!

First and Last - that's serious bread for some big sandwedge.

PS - Sorry about the pun but it had to be said.
