500 km between christmas eve and new years eve. Clearly, the christmas days are out, so thats 500km in 11 days, assuming no rest days. Quite hardcore for a new rider like me, but if the weather is decent I might well try it - although I'm not confident...

Jesus. I was confused by the large bold 13 days on the challenge page - it is only 7. Then you have to take off christmas day and boxing day, due to beer. 5 dys, 500km? Fook that!

Exactly, chances of me doing 60 something miles a day for five days are pretty slim, especially as I'm working over the xmas period! I'd love to have been able to give it a shot though

Yeah, I signed up for that a few days ago...

No idea if I'm going to manage it, but fancy giving it a shot. All weather/ man flu/ Vesper Martini consupmtion dependent obviously.

It's 310 miles over 8 days @ 38.75/day... Sounds ok when put like that. Still far more than I've ever done previously though...

Don't see it messing with family life too much. A couple of hours each morning, or give Christmas day a miss and do more later in the week. I'm off from 23rd to 4th Jan so a couple of longer days between 27th and 31st should be ok.

I've created a few routes of varying length in Connect to upload to the Garmin in readiness and my Christmas list consists mainly of Rapha overshoes/winter gloves and merino baselayer & sock goodness

I want that badge

Plus if I manage it I'll feel properly entitled to get all fked on on NYE...

Its a week off, so I try and get on the bike as much as possible.

I've just signed up to it too - I ride a full sus mountain bike, so it should be interesting.

Adding in a lack of fitness and living in Melbourne, it's going to be tough! (It's coming into summer where days hit 38C - it's too hot to get out and ride. I know, sucks eh!)

On the day I posted, there was 13 days to go...

The badge was on the right. "13 DAYS" in massive bold letters below the badge. Since I thought 500 miles in 13 days was quite a challenge, I didn't even look at the dates.
