Just out of interest I was Googling about to see if there were any of these available for the Chim, which would be little better for winter use. I don't have the dosh at the moment, but it would be an interesting proposition for the future. Has anybody any experience of the link below?

Steve Edwards' hardtop is very nice and well made, not cheap but the quality of the finished item reflects that.
Projects like this are expensive to undertake when it's difficult to get a true indication of the market. IMO people have unrealistic expectations of what things will cost and expect something for about half or even a third of what they realistically cost in such small numbers.
The second link is a typical thread and the last post says it all really.

Compared to most soft tops the TVR roofs esp S/RV8 variants are almost hard tops anyway with the solid centre sections, so they fair much better in inclement conditions. Its only the rear section which remains 'soft', so long as these are treated & kept clean, i don't see what benefit a full hard top would have over double duck.
There would be downfalls to a hard top i can see - they certainly add weight & provide a storage problem longer term & can easily damage the body work.
Personally, i would probably not choose a powerful rear driver for winter anyway

Good find!!! I see there's no price...The tooling would cost a small fortune to mass produce these...
