Audi need to make this car much more sporty... Having driven most Audi models this is so boring to drive. I personally have a S3, but Im sad to say even this is drab... Audi need to fix it up a bit... and this is coming from an Audi fanboy
Not sure I agree with this - they sell well enough to their target market, which isn't PHers. Mrs-C has a series one TT (225) and it's well screwed together, comfortable, quick enough and looks nice. It's no sports car and I find it joyless to drive but she's happy and she'll buy another. They're going to be restrained by the platform which will need to be common with other VAG cars but I think the current TT does a good job considering the target market of the car with its similar restraints. The new MQB platform promises to be very good for the TT so it'll probably be improved in many ways over the current model. It'll probably be the same transverse engine set up with fwd or Haldex clutch 4x4 with a different body, slightly different interior and maybe a little bit more room (and I do mean a little). I don't think the new TT will have any surprises up its sleeve but it should be a really good car.
Remember when Audi first brought out the TT and people really went for the styling but the handling and steering feel let the car down? It'll probably be the opposite for the new TT; great underpinnings but not really that much different styling wise to the rest of the market/the old TT.
