Audi need to make this car much more sporty... Having driven most Audi models this is so boring to drive. I personally have a S3, but Im sad to say even this is drab... Audi need to fix it up a bit... and this is coming from an Audi fanboy

Front end nicked from the Quattro concept by my eyes, probably won't be a big change from the current car dynamically.

Not sure I agree with this - they sell well enough to their target market, which isn't PHers. Mrs-C has a series one TT (225) and it's well screwed together, comfortable, quick enough and looks nice. It's no sports car and I find it joyless to drive but she's happy and she'll buy another.

UGLY! Like the majority of modern cars, bring back nice looking cars! ie mk2 golf, ford escort, bmw e36 etc

Front reminds me of an LFA.

I don't care about Audi so much, but old FWD rally cars were amazing!
Especially group-B rally cars.

Front looks very r8 and the rear haunches a5. Both attractive aspects. Its only a drawing though, and find it hard to get excited by the concepts nevermind the pre-model stage renders.

They're going to be restrained by the platform which will need to be common with other VAG cars but I think the current TT does a good job considering the target market of the car with its similar restraints. The new MQB platform promises to be very good for the TT so it'll probably be improved in many ways over the current model. It'll probably be the same transverse engine set up with fwd or Haldex clutch 4x4 with a different body, slightly different interior and maybe a little bit more room (and I do mean a little). I don't think the new TT will have any surprises up its sleeve but it should be a really good car.

Remember when Audi first brought out the TT and people really went for the styling but the handling and steering feel let the car down? It'll probably be the opposite for the new TT; great underpinnings but not really that much different styling wise to the rest of the market/the old TT.

They're claiming a stripped out version will be under 1,000kg.

bks will it.

Quite... Be good if they could achieve it though.

Evolutionary styling is the norm nowadays, especially championed by Audi so don't expect anything too dramatic. Would love to see them loose the curves on the TT and try and adapt the sharper creases of the rest of the range.... be less 'girly' too.

I think this looks nice - I had the original TT and I loved it. Agree it was more for the looks than the drive. I am not a big fan of the current shape and hope they can recapture some of the magic of the original with the next generation.

Some were RWD, like the Lancia 037 (most beautiful race car ever made IMO).
