So, since it's nearly that horrible, depressing time of the year, when everyone is sat bored at home, freezing cold, toys already broken, with a poor, cut short tree in the corner, steadily losing it's needles and making a prickly mess on the floor, with wrapped up boxes which inevitably take an eternity to open, cause the damn pil... person is a sellotape abuser, only to find it's just some clothes and you now have to fake a smile for those sods who you didn't want to be with but said yes anyway to being with, cause it's christmas, and the utter s
e cracker jokes are going around, and once it's all over for the year, again (finally!) you can settle down in front of the TV, and play a video game, but which one?

Agreed - and mucho kudos to Firaxis for bucking the perceived wisdom that there is no appetite for that sort of strategy game on consoles. Hopefully, sales of it have quashed that idea and we may see more of that type of game going forwards. The one thing I miss since moving from PC to console when the 360 came out is the range of good strategy games that are PC-only releases..... Alas, marriage and child mean the days of having mega-bucks to chuck at a decent gaming PC are long gone so consoles make more sense.

I only got it this year... and they released all the DLC so far this year. (with 2 small exceptions for PC)
