Bassett hound peeing and pooing at silly hours.

Bit of advice needed,
Since getting Mollie our chocky lab spayded (sp) our Megan (Bassett hound) has been waking up at 3.37am* every morning whining that she has HAD a pee or a poo and requires fresh clean bedding and by the loud barking is trying to tell us that it should A not happen at all and B sort it 5 minutes ago.
Anyone with ideas why this is happening.

• the 3.37am is an approximate time and an allowance of 3minutes either way should be taken into account.
