Gaaah! The cold has killed my battery and so far the two replacements that I've bought (one from a local factor, one from Halfrauds) don't fit. The bottom of the tray Is quite narrow so batteries with flanges are too big.

Anyone got any suggestions or do I need to visit the main dealer? eek

That's the next step, but I was hoping someone who'd had this hassle before might have a part number.

Is the D2 not listed in the little booklets in Halfords to tell you what battery? Failing that can't you take the old one in with you or something? Sorry can't help on part number, but a main dealer would be the last place I'd personally go for a battery.

Me too, but having failed to get the right thing despite using Halfords little book as well as a motor factor's I'm getting a little desperate.

woohoo My neighbour recommended a tyre and battery place who had the right thing in stock. Irritatingly it's about half way to Halfords but badly signed down an alley banghead
