Seen this for sale but it doesn't come with FBMWSH, its been done by a specialist and ex-BMW master tech. I am guessing Mondial wont cover the car then?

They might do if it passes a BMW inspection. Best thing to do is phone mondial and see what they say.

They will cover the car, provided that the service history is complete and on time and done by a registered garage. That's all they care about - being done by BMW only has never been an issue. If the BMW master tech did it on his drive, then they won't accept it in the scheme. Remember, the warranty only kicks in after 1mth of ownership as well. Been there done that when I was looking at M5s back in 2010 before I bought a AUC E61 M5 in 2011...

Ady702 - I've put a deposit down on this exact car and hope to collect it this weekend.

I've bought it through a trading network (Auto-trade mail) at a reduced price, so I haven't really dug into the car's service history a great deal.

Audi have told me the car was last serviced under 1k miles ago at Benham BMW Wolverhampton. Spark plugs, coils and a full brake overhaul were also done not so long ago.

Have you got anymore history on the car that may be of interest?

Your feedback would be greatly apprecaited.

Oil this is what they told me:

The vehicle has got a full service history but it has not all been done by a BMW dealer. The non BMW work that has been carried out on the car is by a specialist garage that is run by an Ex-BMW master tech.

Personally I wanted something with FBMWSH and didnt really want silverstone either so didn't end up looking at it. Hope its all good for you when you get it

Cheers mate. It looks/sounds a straight car so fingers crossed.

I'll wait with bated breath to see if the clutch/flywheel was ever replaced in the service book - although I doubt it considering the car's low mileage.
