I have a badge amongst my collection which I bought a few years ago, I think from an ex-factory employee, it is in the normal style but is a stick on one the same as the later t-cars have and is in the normal font, etc. Does anyone know what this model was going to be or any info at all??

Cheers, Al.

That's the name the original Speed 12 was going to be given. Rare bit of kit there.

oh really that's great, a Speed 12 badge would be good tho, don't suppose they made one though... were the T400/440,s badged? I have a Tuscan R badge.. thanks both for the info.. I would post a pic but am incompetant, badge is as new and still has the Scotch sticky pad on the reverse..

Cheers, Al.

Yes the T440 was badged but again they only did one production car so they'll be rare as well. Not sure if they made any racecar badges as they tended to be decals. Don't think they made any Speed 12 badges.

Not sure what the problem is with my email, looks ok to me.

Anyway just got your email now.

I will drop one in the post.
I don't want anything for it; just pleased to help your collection and keep TVR alive.

Also thanks to the Chim 500 badge thread which is what got me looking at my collection in the first place, could've sworn I had one but can't find it, must be lost in a drawer somewhere....

If my memory serves me right there were four of those badges made, one for the front, one for the rear and a spare set, needless to say they will be like hen's teeth now. That was when the Megaera was going to be a folding hardtop based on the cerebra chassis, it evolved a lot between then and the London motor show in 96!

On the photobucket picture there will be different links showing to allow the pic to be shared on different formats, pic the one for forums and message boards and copy and paste it into a reply here.

The prototype with the different rear had a TuscanR badge at the shows. Likewise the first two with the standard back were first badged T400 at their first show and the Fleetwood one was then badged T440 at the next show.

My memory is hazy but later I think they both sported T440 badges. Just like the first customer car.

Not sure if I've seen a factory Typhon badge.
