CS6 version 13.0.2 and retina display

I have updated my MacBook Pro retina display to the latest version of CS6 which is heralded as the version which utilises the hi definition display on the mac. Whilst I now have fantastic icons etc I still cant view the whole image on screen at 100% which is what all the advertising and marketing stuff suggests is possible.

Anybody out there who can advise?

If your image is bigger resolution wise than the resolution of the screen, then you will not be able to, surely?

A picture that exceeds 2880 by 1800 will not be able to be seen at 100% at full res.

100% to me means the pixels in the image are matched by the pixels in the monitor. So you'd need either a small image or a vast monitor. It's like wanting a map of England in your lounge, but on 1:1 scale...
