Scarf osteotomy

Almost exactly two years ago I had my bunion vaped via a scarf osteotomy.

Recovery went well (if not a little too long for my liking) and I had no particular problems until the last month or so.
I have a weird sensation and pain when I walk - it doesn't hurt when I touch or squeeze the toe/joint, just when I walk, run and wiggle it.

Would it be possible for the screw to have shifted somehow?
I don't really want to go back to my GP to be referred back to the surgeon unless it's obvious there's a problem, and there's nothing to see - no lumps or bumps - just how it feels.

I'm also wondering if somehow the cold weather can have an effect?
My toe always seems to be cold.

its probably best to see your consultant again for a review. There a few possibilities....

No, I shouldn't imagine it will fall off.....

screw movement/irritation is possible, but also irritation of soft tissues can occur.

depends where your discomfort is really

but as I say, most specialists would prefer you go back and see them, rather than anyone else
