I am wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere that offers car control or "skid pan" experiences in the south east, ideally south side of the M25.

Thanks in advance

Not quite the S/East (and a little further North than you want) but Rockingham have a fantastic low grip set up, kick plates for induced oversteer, low grip asphalt and a drift circle - small and basic picture on my profile.

There's one at the Goodwood circuit if that's not too far west for you.

Good topic, was thinking of asking this myself. I suppose very few offer it in your own vehicle?

Thanks. Goodwood would be an ok journey but Rockingham involves the M25 and the Dartford tunnel which are both a bit unpredictable!

I organised a group at Castle Combe and asked this, and the reply was no because of the ste the use to reduce grip.

Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands have a low friction skid pad. More to demo the cars than serious training but maybe worth considering.

Did a day with a group of TVR owners a few years ago. Great day and good fun. Details are here http://www.allmotortraining.co.uk/all_motor_traini...

The TRL in Crowthorne used to do driver safety and skid pan driving. I did one there many years ago when I passed my test.

edit. It's a bit of an ancient thread to resurrect.

That's a low friction doughnut, rather than a skid pad. Excellent fun though - see if you can hold a powerslide all the way round.

Depends in whether you just want to dick around or actually come away with a life skill...

Carlimits. "North Weald" is correct.
