I don't know why I expected more. Unbelievable. Until they take firm, meaningful action such as hefty fines and forcing nations to play behind closed doors, this kind of st is going to continue.

Agree total joke! How they can justify fining 1 single player for wearing branded boxes more than a club or nation for racist chanting is madness.. Then people wonder why certain players wont wear kick it out t -shirts ..

Rio Ferdinand seems to have strong views on this, its a shame he wasn't quite so anti-racism when he directed racist tweets against Ashley Cole rolleyes #Hypocrite.

Pretty simple.

Money talks.

This will be forgotten about by the next time the Champions League is mentioned.

If the FA was bothered, they'd take English teams out of the Champions League, or Europa league (more feasible - none of them care about it).

English clubs would've had a 5 year ban if that had happened at one of our clubs.

It's not UEFA's governing body thats to blame in this case its their independent control and disciplinary panel

Platini may appeal the decision/fine on the grounds that it isn't severe enough:

As stated in that article, the fine is less than the £80,000 Denmark's Nicklas Bendtner was hit with for revealing sponsored underpants. rolleyes

Man City were fined more for being late out for the second half than Porto were for their fans' racism in the same game.

Not often I'd say this, but he is correct insofar as the "punishment" is a joke

Just wait for the fiasco which is Financial Fair Play.
These UEFA jokers are a subset of FIFA - whose role in life is to propagate their own interests.
