you could fit them all over the car and use them as air brakes... or underneath and become the fastest pooper-scooper in the world!

Yep, that's the best kind. Select a plate for the country you're in and off you go. I'm really surprised no-one's done a commercial version. Wouldn't be too hard to create one and you wouldn't have to worry about coming up with the old "Sorry officer I've just been to a car show and forgot to put it back on" story.

You could fit it on the bootlid and use it like the MacLaren SLR spoiler to airbrake your way to the speed camera lines. It's a bit bulkier than it needs to be, surely?

Bit ugly.

I cut a slot behind my plate 'to let more air into the rad officer'. Then I mounted the plate on a horizontal rod but not in the centre. The plate should swing inwards due to the depression behind when moving above certain speeds and drop down at idle or slow speeds.

You need a mod like this for off road testing etc. Don't know if this could be done to a vette.

I went one better and fitted a ram air intake where the plate was and now I have nowhere to put it!

Nigel - why don't you just drill a couple of small holes in your rear wing drinks tray, and use a couple of curtain hooks to dangle the plate from it. Not only would this help your car look like a mobile bed and breakfast at speed the plate would probably go horizontal... potentially useful for those rear facing gatsofunstopperboxes.

Brett - can we get C4 size neon plate surounds - I feel like a return to the early 90's...

Hi Francis!

Yep and the horizontal plate could be used as an aileron to control the angle of the rear wing!

I saw a set of the neon surrounds in Pep Boys in the US last time I was there, do you want me to get you a set? Which colour do you want? Pink or Blue?
