So who has either got a new car on order or searching the classifieds for a specific M car?

Thought it would be interesting to see what people are ordering and also if people post up specs of cars they are looking for second hand others might be able to point them in the direction of ones they have seen.

I've just bought one of these http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyI... in Imola Red. Should get it before the New Year!

Not much different in spec to my current M3 apart from having the newer iDrive with media pack/application prep etc (and 24k less miles!). I've always liked Imola Red and IMO looks good on the E92 M3!

We'll even let the M135i guys onto this thread, even though they're not proper M cars... wink

Can you just explain why you'd replace one car with an almost identical one at presumably great expense?

For exclusivity! They'll only be another 499 people driving about in similar cars... hehe

It's a different colour, I thought red would look more Christmassy outside the house than black...

Preferred the red, wasn't too keen on the blue but did consider it! Yep, will be down the S&W when Umair arranges the next one, March/April I think.

I was tempted - the santorini blue and the red both look stunning. But the dealer never bother to call me back with a test drive so I dropped the idea of one.

Fair enough, was just wondering if it was a lease thing or similar that had come to an end.

Sorry, I was getting into PH defensive mode!

My current car is leased. I was offered a fair amount over my lease settlement figure as a trade in value as well as a similar monthly payment to what I currently pay.

I had to put a fair deposit down on the new lease but a lot of that was covered by the cash realised from the trade in and not having to pay BMW/Mondial for warranty for the next year. My man maths tells me I'm getting a good deal!

Currently looking at getting rid of my e92 335i highline and replacing In the new year with a E60 M5. I need he buzz, sound and feel of that V10 back in my life.

I'm just about to go and hopefully pick up my 1M, only a six hour drive to Scotland stands in the way. Been up since 2am!

Awesome! I'm like a kid on Xmas eve when I'm picking up a new car! Enjoy the 1M and let's see some photos.

I was searching ages for the right M3 CS and it had to be in interlagos blue.

Last week I finally got it! Flew up to Aberdeenshire to pick the beast up and thoroughly enjoyed the 12 hours plus in it over a 30 hour period (includes a stay in a hotel overnight on the way home).

Great journey home and an epic car!

Great car the CS, I had an interlagos one as well. Is yours manual or SMG?

I went for SMG, imho it just makes the car feel that little bit more special.

I maybe biased as this is my third E46 M3 & all have been SMG! :-)

Totally agree, fantastic car!

Sorry to go off topic a tad but what tyres did you run on yours?

I had Conti's on mine. I think they were contact sport 3's.

More than happy with the performance of them.

Did you get a good deal - how's it scrubbing up so far?

Congrats!
