Looking like I'll be needing a new battery in my GT3 (RS) and just looking for some recommendations please.

Would consider some lighter weight (expensive) alternative (lithium etc) if anyone has any good experience.

Cheers

Not cheap!

I just bought a Bosch S5 battery for mine today, which seems recommended elsewhere, but won't help if you are after saving weight.

I have a Red Top 15 on order for my track car, which is a similar weight to that Braille battery but about a tenth of the cost, but I'm not sure it has enough oomph to start a GT3. I can give it a go when it arrives and let you know, if that helps?

I've a light weight battery, Powervamp, what a pain it is to maintain. cant recommend any lightweight on the basis they done last very long off charger, couple of three days if the alarms armed.

if you've garage with power then fine, i use the ciggy lighter to keep topped up.

I was trying to source the original GT3/GT2 OEM Moll Kamina battery 999 611 060 20 and found out the manufacturer's version is:
560 020 048 (which replaces 560 015 048) 12V 60Ah 280A (The new stronger M3 Plus K2 Double Lid version is: 83056/58 but I suspect it will be heavier).

There is a smaller 50 Ah version (550 046 051) recommended if you are not running airco and radio (i.e. track cars).

The problem is finding suppliers and I don't know if they're lighter than the Bosch S5 although I suspect they are.
