aren't the police embarrassed about convicting people for doing 78mph on a motorway?
i'd like to hear a policeman come on here and try and justify such enforcement!

i'm all for punishing inappropriate speed but this is not it. look at the motorway - good weather and empty! how not to win over the hearts and minds of the public.
that said the salute is not very polite!

He was technically breaking the law.. and his passenger was giving the police the V sign! As Crimp said, that's what got him nicked!i'd like to hear a policeman come on here and try and justify such enforcement!

Readout says 80mph. They'll do you for anything over 78, so 79 gets a ticket.
Most still operate speed limit +10%+2, so 79 in a 70 you get done.
I got a ticket for 79 on the m6 north of Carlisle on a completely empty road. Mobile van. Thankfully got a course and took the mick all day.
