Is there anything special about changing the tyres with the TPMS, or can I just go to my regular tyre fitters?

My regular guys do mine with no bother. They will get a replacement unit and fit if one has failed and also did me a winter wheel and tyre set with new sensors. I did the re-learn bit using the cars in-dash system which took 5+ miles to "compute" and has since saved me bu**ering up a new tyre due to a slow leak between rim and tyre (caused by a small flake in the lacquer).
Hope this helps.
I would not be without TPMS

Depending on how long the TPMS modules have been in service the TPMS modules might need to be replaced. They are battery-powered and the batteries don't last forever.

The most important thing is to ensure the guy taking the tyres off knows sensors are currently fitted. This is to ensure he breaks the bead away from the valve area - as this can damage the sensor.

Another vote for the peace of mind provided by TPMS (but then I have to say that as I work for the market leader :-) )
