Christmas shopping run today...
Discussion
Since we had a reasonably mild and dry day today I gave the Cerb an airing and did a bit of xmas shopping.
Have to say she ran faultlessly again, though you're ALWAYS aware that you're just a heavy blip of the loud pedal away from spinning into oblivion (just the one moment coming off a roundabout!)
But what a pleasant, civilised motor the Sp6 can be, even in town, though you can always sense the rampaging horses straining to be let loose!
Flew down the motorway for about 20 miles and still impressed, though the dipped beam is woeful, so I had quite a few speed limiters today, without the usual one strapped into the passenger seat!
Great,great car...

or rather than mess up the front of your car feed the headlights from a dedicated feed from the battery vis a relay and fuse, use the original wiring as the control system but power from the battery.
The problem with the Cerb is the power feed to the headlights starts at the front goes all the way to the boot through a control box and relays and then back to the front all on wire that is just too thin for the job. The result is around 10v left for the headlight bulbs and the resultant amber glow.
HiD's are the other way to go although some say they are illegal, however there is an exepmtion for sports cars in the rules regarding self leveling suspension being a requirement for HiD use, so the jury is out.
Personally I have had HiD's fitted for over 3 years now without any issues.
