I was down at the builder’s yard today collecting some ornamental gravel when I was approached by Michael Murphy the Nationwide Paving man who wanted to buy the jeep “for me boy” – yeah right. Having dissed the paint and the ride he asked how much and I said £750. That usually puts people off. He persevered but we agreed that I’d come out to buy gravel and not to sell my jeep but he did give me his card.

So- if anyone has a runner (no tax or MOT required for obvious reasons) for £300-ish and can withstand some heavy blarney (I think it’s known as gobshite now) trying to knock the price down, I have your buyer. He’s in the Oxford area, but for how long, who knows.
