Goodwood Sunday Service.......what no 991's?!
Discussion
Just come back from an excellent SS at Goodwood. Some good highlights in the Porsche world. Saw a nice 70's 911 RS and a few GT3 RS's. But I was surprised that I don't think I saw one 991. Saw a few new Boxsters, in fact came in with Shmee's R8 and a nice blue Boxster S but Porsche's new 911 was missing. Did like a good look around the Mclaren MP4 and was surprised at the Ferrari 612 and it's shear size, not for me I'm afraid. Did enjoy the tunnel at the end....silly 15mph limit though, which I found hard to keep to!
Sorry I was bringing mine, but knew that all I'd hear all day was how much of a tool I've been buying a new one, which seems to be the theme at the mo, so I cancelled in the hope my place could be taken by someone who made a 'wiser' P car choice.
Unbelievably, I waited all those years to own a 911 put up with 'couldn't you afford a 911' only to find I bought one at the time when the joke has changed to 'you gotta be off your rocker to buy one of those, you realise it's going to be worth slightly less than a book of raffle tickets when you come to sell it'
I absolutely love the car even more now than the day I took delivery, I bought it to keep, so I'll carry on finding myself still, giggling away every time I drive it on my own.
Glad it was a great day for everyone

Ignore them - you can afford a new one so enjoy it. You should of brought it, looks good. Funnily enough I stopped off at Portsmouth OPC. Myself and little lad only ones there so while he played in a 997 GT3, I got chatting to one of the sales blokes about lack of 991's, if he had known about SS he said he would of taken one of the showrooms 991's down.
