It may only be 6am, but I've just enjoyed another pot of "Naked Noodle" - a slightly soupy range of noodles, chuck in the hot water, away you go.
Flavours are limited, to four I believe (chilli beef being my favourite) but the product has quickly become my favourite midnight snack, elevensies and pre/post dinner snack.
Definitely my favourite "pot noodle" of the varieties on the market! If I hadn't eaten them all, I'd have another right now.
I find noodles particularly satisfying, which is probably why there are so many happy Chinese people.
If we westerners weren't so set in our ways, cooking an entire range of foods around the potato product, a culinary lifestyle and range of 500 dishes centred on the versatile noodle would leave me quite content.

I binned a box of Naked Noodles after two mouthfuls, absolutely tasteless pathetic attempt of a 'snack'.
I can't remember what brand I usually buy from the oriental grocers but they say something like 'vietnamese style noodles made with japanese technology' on the box, cost about the same as the Naked s
te but taste soo much better (must be the MSG).
Actually, thanks for reminding me to stock up when I'm in town tomorrow.

A quick google found it - Oh! Ricey Pho Bowl.
You can get a lunch bowl or packet, they're flat rice noodles rather than the round wormy variety.

Naked noodles didn't hit the spot for me I'm afraid.
Hybrid noodle solution designed by myself.
1. A large/oversize mug.
2. Cheapest own brand noodles, preferably curry flavour. 11p per pack.
3. Your choice of cup a soup. Choice du jour is (to my embarrassment) Ainsley Harriots Szechuan Hot & Sour)
4. Everything in mug, hot water to fill. Stir. Leave to stand for a couple of minutes.
5. Alternately drain liquid/eat noodles with a teaspoon.
6. Be happy.

My preference is the Thai chicken one. I often take them to work for lunch instead of the normal sandwich.
The chilli beef pot, whilst NN is more of a soup than a proper noodle dish, definitely hits the spot for me. I'll have a look for Gary Glitter's noodle (his recommendation) - the Ricey Pho Bowl suggested.
Whilst on the topic, Ive tried and failed in 3 supermarkets to find, a chicken or beef in black bean sauce 'proper' noodle dish, and Im not fussy if its a micro meal, I just haven't been able to find one anywhere. If anyone buys/knows where to get them from, do tell. Im not a reluctant subscriber to the instant meal offerings of the retailer giants, but have not been able to find anything anywhere.

This thread reminded me to try the Thai Chicken Naked Noodle I had in the cupboard, and I can only assume that Naked refers to the amount of flavour - bland rubbish.My personal favourite are Nissin Miso flavour, but I've only seen them in packets, so not so easy to use at work.
