Ordered a Giulietta..Opinions from alfa owners?
Discussion
Mine is the 170 Diesel and to be frank I love it. UK press don;t seem to have been kind to the car post launch (despite the initial fanfare . . . . . .), but it really is a fantastic all rounder. In D mode it is a riot on the open roads, although I personally find A mode to be the best all round.
Enjoy your new car, and get on to Alfaowner.com. Oh and post up a few pics

A mode as all rounder?, did you mean N?, A is supposed to be for snow and Ice etc???
I've had my 140 JTDm for 18 months and 33000 miles now. On the whole it's been fine, I love the handling, the ride is acceptable, if a bit firm, build quality doesn't seem too bad, nothing has fallen off or broke and I don't have many persistent rattles, just the odd one now and again which tends to go away for no reason before I find it. The 140 Diesel is a good compromise on company car tax, almost as quick as the 170BHP Cars but significantly cheaper.
A few things I don't like;
The Engine is rough, really not a patch on the refinement of my previous BMW 2 litre diesels. The MA being petrol will be much better though.
Blue and Me drives me mad, it really isn't very intuitive and is hopeless at some simple tasks like finding names in phone books.
I find Road noise is an issue on motorways, I hoped a change of tyres from P7's to P-Zero's might help but it didn't, it's not very well isolated in that respect.
Still probably the most interesting medium hatchback choice and I'd love the MA engine if it was an option at my work... but it isn't
I do wish AR would get the arse into gear and bring out either the Giulia or a Sportwagon version of the Giulietta.

My wife has a 1.6 JTDM Veloce. Even in dynamic mode I find it sluggish setting off and very short geared in 1st and 2nd, it's surprisingly quick at M-way speeds, it sneaks up to a ton very easily. My biggest complaint is visibility, or lack of. I have the seat quite far back and my vision to the left is bady obscured by the B post, the A pillars are very thick and I find the gap between the interior mirror and the top of the dash to be very small also. I find myself looking up to 3 times at junctions paranoid that I've missed seeing something.
I've a QV and have had quite a few issues although mine is a fairly early car and now that most of them have been resolved it's been pretty good.
Weak points are reluctance to go into 1st gear, water ingress into the rear hatch, top of the gear knob breaking off, fuel filler flap sticking and squeaking suspension. Most of these seem to be have been sorted on later cars.
