My other half has had a VW Touran (2006 1.9Tdi) for the last 5 years. It's now done 75k miles and in the last year (as well as servicing and tyres) has had new timing belt, dual mass flywheel, clutch, slave cylinder and master cylinder fitted. We're thinking that it could be time to change, but unsure what to go for. She does about 12-13k miles p.a. and wants 7 seats for transporting kids and friends around, 4WD not required. Budget is £12-£15k for something that would ideally only be a year or two old. Suggestions please........

S-Max without doubt the best MPV on the market.

^^^^^^^ What he said.

I had a S-Max in 2007 for a year and did 55k in it that year. Amazing car and I probably should have got another this year but vanity won and I went with a 5 series touring. It's tiny in comparison to the S-Max.

you have just spunked a decent amount of money on the current bus, and its relatively low miles, so why not use it for another 18 months to take it to 90k and get some of those costs back?

If you are set on a new(er) car how about a Zafira (old shape heavily discounted) or the S-max as above.

I've had one of those as well!!!

Total crap but when you're a poor student with a girlfriend who lived 200 miles away and that car gave a genuine 70mpg at 60mph, it was a godsend.

Wouldn't recommend it now though.....
