Are there many female TVR owners, do do many peoples girlfriends/wives drive their Chim?
I decided to let my better half have a go in mine yesterday but she couldn't reach the pedals, lol, even with the seat right forward. I have changed the seat though and it sits right back with not that much adjustment. Plus I don't know if the previous owner moved the pedals about? I'm just wondering if others get on alright with it? It's a non PAS model so probably for the best really?

Mark.

Wife drives both, Chim is non-PAS and she is fine with it. Prefers it to the Cerbera as in that the "the gap to the car in front disappears too quick" biggrin

You can adjust the pedals one by one - head in the footwell, loosen the nuts and spin the pedals, tighten your nuts before a passing teenager does, and Robert is your father's brother

Jude borrowed the Chim last week while her TT was in for some work. She loved the engine noise but as she is only 5 feet tall the pedals were a bit too far away so 85 was about flat out for her..... sounds ideal to me!

My old next door neighbours in Kent had a lady friend who had owned a Chim for years, she turned up one summer out of the blue while i was planning a run out.

A friend of mine drives a griff 500, she is a stunning portuguese air hostess. She says she wouldn't drive anything else, because even after a long flight its impossible to fall asleep at the wheel in a tvr.

She is also quite handy with a shotgun, she shot for her country.

i think i'll leave the pedals for now wink
but at least it's an options.
she's only little so i think there would be a lot of adjustment needed but i wouldn't mind her driving at all. maybe a little scared at first..

You will be surprised how little adjustment you need. And women have longer legs than men of the same height (my wife is 5 ft 4, I am 6 ft, we both have 31 inch inside leg). Add a cushion and you might just be there.....or take her back to Tescos and get a taller one eek

A woman? Drive my Chim? No chance. Sometimes I don't even let me drive it.

Drive it? I'm lucky if I can persuade my OH to sit in it. biggrin

(That's just her, though. There are indeed plenty of girls with TVRs.)

Well I'm married to one of them, and most of the others are friends... that and I'm capable of searching for things, unlike the vast majority of PH. hehe

I'll let off on that one then smile (I know gracious of me wink )

I think the the theory is 'why type in the search box when you can post and get others to do it for you'..... hehe
