P0105 Error - MAP Sensor?? Or not..

Hi, recently bought an Astra 1.6 SXI (MK4)(02 plate), seems well maintained, has full service history including recent cambelt & alternator belt change.
Test drove it, ran fine. Drove home (30 miles) was fine, went to the petrol station put fuel in, when I started it up to move it cut out, and wouldn't drive.
I waited two minutes, then it started and drove but was very sluggish, had a loss of power, extremely juddery and just generally not good to drive. The engine management light also came on.
I have had diagnostics ran on the car and the only error code is P0105 which is Manifold Absolute Pressure, the MAP reading is stuck at 10.00 and does not change at all, even when pressing accelerator.
I changed the MAP sensor yesterday which did nothing, cleared the error code, but it comes straight back on.
The TPS is reading fine.
I'm at a loss with what to do next, any ideas??
P.S. It's being intermittent, driving 'okay', then sometimes I park up, start car again and the idle is crazy and it won't drive, so I leave it for 5 mins and then it drives 'okay', but since it started happening it's drove nothing like it did on the way home

The fuel consumption (i presume because of this problem) is doing me no favours either so I could do with fixing this as soon as possible, and with xmas coming up quickly it's not the best time for it to go wrong!
