No such thing as a cheap Integrale.

Annoyingly and despite the money I spent on mine it would still probably have made me money in the long run.

There was a chap restoring one in the Readers Cars forum - from memory his was in pretty poor shape to begin with but still looked a bit better than that one.

I love it when people say it won't start but i suspect there is no fuel in it.Really, well how about getting a can of fuel then if that is all it is.

Also,I am in no rush to sell as it is only going up in value.Yes because as a car slowly Rots away its value increases by the day.rolleyes

do not understand why people dotn at least wash the car before taking a photo - it will grease the wheels of sale MASSIVELY.

The vendor obviously hasn't been reading our "Advertising Hates" thread - what a load of weasel words in his ad frown

I reckon it won't start because it hasn't got a battery or, seemingly, plug leads. smile

Actually just had a quick look at values and in good condition an 88 is probably worth between £6-7k.....even a light restoration and repaint would probably be £4-5k so its basically a non-starter....so to speak!

Probably end up being broken rolleyes

It's a 80's Lancia - golden rule No.1: KEEP AWAY FROM WATER!

£2800 for what could be a large pile of ferrous oxide and a broken engine, bargain! I'd love to get my hands on an Integrale but they have a horrific reputation for rust. Realistically the pictures tell very little, it could be okay but it could be rotten as a peach.

If anyone feels brave enough to take a look at it, take a jack, axle stands, a torch, a magnet (you get my drift!) and check every were!

Clearly a few people here who haven't owned them and just go on pub chat.

Yes, an integrale will rust - but so will a Saab 900! Lancia used a type of zincodised steel by time they were making the Delta and had learnt the hard lessons of the '70s so they're aren't bad, certainly not when compared to other cars designed in the same period. I've seen bigger rot holes in a Quattro than i've ever seen in a Delta....

Windscreen surround, rear roof and rear glass surround are the usual places, the glass frames being down to rushed assembly and welding, easy to check.

8Vs were never built in yellow but someone did a good job, all the engine bay seems to have been done. Might have been a special order.

My one ('91 Evo) had a couple of patches around the windscreen and was bubbling above the rear screen. Other than that it was ok from memory.

It's had a full colour change/respray, so you don't really know how bad the rust is and how professionally the previous rust issues were tackled.

It doesn't run, how good was the previous engine rebuild? Get it wrong and the internals will eat themselves up.

Any integrale modified is worth less than an unmolested car.
From what I can see in the picture it has, wrong body colour, wrong interior from Evo1, wrong suspension, wrong colour trim, Evo rear spoiler, 16v bonnet, later (newer) style alloys from Delta HPE mk2.

It's not going up in value, prices steadied out last year and they are dropping slightly in anything.

I can sell you a set of original alloys if you like.

Personally, I would run for the hills. Or knock him down a grand. It's worth a few quid in spares though.

It looks like a shed but they don't rust any more than something similar like a mk1/11 golf.

Deltas were rust buckets in the 1980's. As part of my bodyshop apprenticeship at a VAG dealer in 1986, I had to fibreglass up rust in the roof and pillars of a W plate Delta part ex before it went to auction - it was six years old and virtually scrap. In the late eighties scrapyards and car auctions had plenty of rusty ones as well.

I once dropped in on a garage in North Yorkshire (Walkers?) and saw some of these things up on ramps. I don't think I've ever seen cars so rusty since my Alfasud days. Festering rust everywhere, bubbling rust in the roof, sills, and all around where the tailgates bolt on as well as the entire rear structure behind the rear bumper. The ones around the back being robbed for bits were even worse, literally disintegrating. Absolute junk - and this was 10 years ago so I dread to think how bad they are now!

Bargepole, do not touch with a.

Couldn't agree more. I suspect the best bit about that car is the photo.
