It was a sunny and dryish day today, so seemed like a good time to get the new addition to our family out in the TVR and introduce him to roof down motoring.

He seemed to like it, and showed his appreciation by falling asleep. However, a few blips of the throttle were nearly enough to wake him.

He is 11 weeks old - Has anybody taken a younger passenger out in their TVR? I am sure someone has - I wanted to but a mixture of busy work and poor weather meant it had to wait.

YouTube video of the nice TVR noise almost waking him.

The car seat fits just fine in the Tamora. It was a good idea of TVR to not fit airbags smile

Well done, when you have a kid, you NEAD a TVR to escape the mad house occasionally and wait and see the looks when you park in the parent and child spaces at the supermarket!
Then lift out the kid in his seat, priceless!!

I think he enjoyed the drive, he showed it through sleeping despite the noise and the refreshing roof-down breeze smile

Now we have a baby people keep asking when we are going to sell the TVR.

Admittedly it doesn't seat 3, but we have a Mondeo (great car) for the everyday family driving, and our view is that the TVR is a keeper. It is sufficiently special to stay with us for a long time, slowly being brought to the standard I want.

When is is summer he can come out for a more spirited drive and we will see what he thinks of that biggrin

Thread resurrection 14 months on...

Took the little chap out for another roof off drive today since it finally stopped raining. It the past year he has been to quite a few Shelsley Walsh breakfast clubs in the car as well.

Despite the sports exhaust the TVR just sends him to sleep. However I think I woke up the steady drivers of a mini with a full-throttle 3rd gear overtake at one point. It does sound good smile

There is a video here like the one in the first post at the top of the thread (but with a newer phone).

I am waiting impatiently for more dry and sunny days to start using the car more.
