March 30th Easter Saturday - Calling all Motorsport TVRs
Discussion
For those who went to the Easter Saturday 2012 TVR event in the Cotswolds - we, the Wiltshire region of the TVR Car Club will be organising another event for next year (2013) - Easter Saturday March 30th at Neil Garner's venue - SN16 9SH. It will be run on the same lines as last Easter's event. However, next years (2013) theme will be TVR in Motorsport, therefore I please ask you to spread the word around for those of you who have any TVRs that you track, race or simply show in racing colours to please get in touch.
We have more TVR trade stands than last time - we are up to 20 stall holders who have booked in. These include: TVR CC / TVR Power / D&C Trim / Surface and Design / ACT Products / FDTS (makers of personalized seat belts) / South West Sports Cars (TVR Car hire) / Fibreon / Cambria Cirrus (makers of TVR surrey roofs) / North London Dyno Centre (Rolling Road) / London Carriage Craft (Wooden dash boards restorer for TVRs) / Autostyle (TVR logo car mats) / Autogylm (Polishing products) /
Platinum Alloy Wheel Solutions (Alloy Wheel repair and restorers formerly - Lepsons of Swindon) / Demon Finishers (valeting) / David Fairclough HF Solutions (TVR car alarms) / Protech Shocks of Melksham and Sportmotive - just to name a few!
Neil Garner will be showing off his 'NEW" race TVR Chim complete with a 4.8 Rover V8 engine - (yes you did read that right, an unusual 4.8 litre engine)
Amongst many other star attractions we will be running the loudest / noisiest car competition with thanks to the TVR Essex Gang for their organisation skills. The crown went to a Lambo Diablo last Easter with a Bristol region Chim taking reserve spot and not far behind.
More info to follow in the new year. It would be nice to get the crown back to a TVR this coming Easter, so if you think your motor is noisier than others, then do please come and have a go at 'crowning' your TVR!
However, we are on the look out for unusual racing TVRs to display in the main arena - if you can help in any way, we would love to hear from you. For those of you who came last Easter and enjoyed the show - do please spread the word. It is after all a free entry show - dedicated to TVR owners and we believe it will be the biggest TVR show to have the most TVR related trade stands.
We look forward to your comments
In the meantime - all of you TVR enthusiasts have a great Christmas
Kind regards
Paul Aka Marz92 - Long Live The Griff!
PS For the 'doubters' we had a total of 130 TVRs out of a total 150 performance and super cars arrive on the day - Can we top that? It is up to you to come!
