I think I have developed an obsession with the S, perhaps not as bad as ukbob

But I keep reading and posting here and I keep thinking about the car and upgrades and refurbishment and I used to pop downstairs at night and flick the garage light on and look at the car frequently, this isn't as bad now we have moved and have a detached garage!

Will I start wearing a teeshirt like brigdav and a baseball cap with TVR logo badges pinned on it, actually I do have the cap and the badge but I don't always wear it, I found that the pin sticks in my head and wakes me up when I roll over in bed.

Could this be OTD (obsessive TVR disorder)?

No I think this is pretty normal. I spend most of my day thinking of how I can improve the S, rather than doing work, or considering how I can save money to buy a house etc.

I have been know to go out and check the car in the middle of the night, as well as still be polishing it by street light, in the snow!!

Just yesterday I was leaning over the engine bay ala snooker player trying to get the badge off, I did, snapping off the bolts in the process . But a Leven one replaced it.

The lying in the middle of the road head under the car trying to adjust the offside suspension.

Then polishing the wax off and "having" to take the car down the road to test the suspension. It was around 9pm by this time.

Mind you I'm worse with my mini. I've been known to be fixing/modifying that until 4am.

Aye

My girlfriend was effectively banned from driving her own car when I got the S, we take it everywhere, including the usual 15 mile drives to pick up cigarettes etc.

Its accepted as entirely normal asking her "Whats the longest way home from here" in the evenings, and even when we do get home, I have to circle the neighbourhood several times before turning in to squeeze in as much driving as possible. Occasionally we get home, I think br this, drive right by, and head back into town again

Before I had a car I was always on time, but with all the sideroads, detours and polishing Im late for everything

At least she understands that no matter how cold it will get this winter, the windows are staying down!

Hmmmm.. maybe I should tone down a bit, Polishing and waxing twice a week seems a little excessive.
