See this all the time on those programs where they follow police around with a camera - typical scenario : scrote found beating childs head in with a stick. BiBs jump on him. Scrote screams 'I aint done nuffink'

Im wondering if this is actually widely used?

And also, if so, is that a valid get out clause like a secret code phrase? 'oh, right, that wasnt you beating on that child? on your way then'

Sounds like it could be quite useful!

"I aint done nuffink." Surely that's a double negative which actually means I have done something. Sounds like a self confession to me

Another favourite of mine is

'A DOHN FINK SO!'

eg. I've just seen you ripping out my plants!

A dohn fink so. (usually followed by either a grimmace, or a snigger)

I think most youngesters these days believe that if there isn't video or photo evidence, then there's no proof.

Well in America the copper would shout "Stop or i'll shoot" and they'd be shot.....in the UK the bobby will give chase shouting "Stop or i'll shout stop again"....

Or, more likely they'd be shot and then the copper would shout "Stop or I'll shoot" at the bloody corpse...

I always find, "Stop or I will let the DOG go" always does the trick [even though the dog van is sitting in the local park whilst the dog goes for a walk]

Going back to the defence, I used to study Psychology and this sort of comment is something we cant help as humans, its self preservation.

A good example was a video we were shown - a 5 year old child is left with a very nice looking chocolate cake and told not to eat it. Adult walks away.

5 mins later adult comes back to find kid covered in chocolate and cake gone. When asked where is the cake the child always said they did not know.

Once had a valeter working foir me and his particually dim mate used to drop in for a chat with him....hadnt seen his mate for a while and enquired to his his where abouts............hes in prison, why, he had been to magistrates court for a minor indescretion and the magistrate looked over her half rimmed glasses and asked "do you have anything to say for yourself before we decide how we are going to deal with you"

He replied quote" smoke my ass honey". He was given 28 days.

Re "Stop or I'll shoot!"

the "or I'll shoot" could be termed the long arm of the law.
