As pistonheads people tend to have more artistic tendancies and good taste I would like to canvas some suggestions for venues that you would recommend for our car clubs annual show.

Though we have been established for over 10 years now, we have yet to organise an annual show. Our membership now extends to the US and Europe, though remains a select few who are basically friends of friends etc.

Though it sounds arrogant, we have no affiliation, nor do we want to be associated with anything to do with max power. Yes we modify our cars, but most of our influences are from the US custom hot rod scene, using old VW cars as a base. Many of use have spent 7 maybe 8 years building the cars and we are always pushing boundaries further in the styling stakes. All bodywork is lead filled or welded, bodykits are a strict no-no and fibreglass is a swear word.

Anyway, with this in mind, we would like your suggestions on picturesque venues that would be able to cater for the following requirements:-
1. Easy entry/exit
2. 1500 cars
3. Agree to take a % of entrance fee charged and small deposit rather than requiring the entire investment upfront.
4. Will close to the public for that particular day.
5. Flat surfaces on which to park the cars, grass is fine, though some of the cars are extremely low.
6. Picturesque setting, country house in back ground etc.
7. Are not averse to caterers or traders being present.
8. Location must be pretty central in the UK to encourage people from all over the country to visit.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards
David H

Found the website great suggestion.

Looks absolutely stunning, but to hire the venue will most probably be out of our price range.

I have emailed them for a ball park figure.

Any other suggestions please.

Thanks
