IT will be worth the wait I promise you. Have you got sufficient space in the garage? Have you asked Father Christmas for expensive cleaning and polishing stuff. You will need a vacuum cleaner to keep in the garage . You might just as well get some beers in as well cos you are going to spend a lot of time cleaning your Aston Martin.

We will of course be requiring pictures as soon as she lands. Ask your dealer to put the number plate in the right place prior to delivery .

Have a fantastic Christmas ,

8 days to go.....

PS: Dealer looked at me like a light gone out when I asked him to lower the plate so I'll take care of that myself by the look of it. No hassle.

8 days to go.....!

A Vantage in Toro Red, Black interior. Oh my word!

Don't forget to cheekily ask for your AM umbrella wink

And at least one spare key.

And at least 2 Tracker Tags - or they can pair your iphone with the Tracker.

Joyeux Noel aussi smile

Congratulations on your new p&j. Nice Christmas present.

On the subject of umbrellas, I got one when I picked up the Vantage. Does it just lay in the car or is there a fixing kit for it? Don't fancy getting impaled if I have to brake hard smile

Does it not have the two leather straps in the boot?

Nope frown May just leave it on the rear shelf as by the time I get it out of the boot a) the boot will be full of water and b) I'll be wet anyway!

no vantage comes with umbrella as standard. most of the 2+2s IIRC come with one as standard, cost price now £195, consisting of one umbrella and two fitted black leather straps in the boot

watch out if it's a roadster with B&O sound - the umbrella fitting (if chosen) is somewhat 'awkward' with the hump in the boot for the amp. not sure where the B&O amp goes in a vantage coupe

Could you not make some sort of leather straps to hold it in the boot? smile

Simon my DB9 has leather fixing hooks in the boot but they are essentially to fit the very expensive AM umbrella rather than the larger cheapo Stratstone one I have smile

Thought you might be able to lay your hands on some of those pretty easily George whistle , though I do recall Jockman alluding to something similar on one occasion for an overnight Astonauts meeting. eek

I have four black things that look like fixing points in the boot and I have the AM umbrella. Just not the straps. I think I have a weekend project smile

Jockman keeps fantasising about me wearing leather for some reason.

Mind you, I am irresistible so it is understandable biggrin
