Amazing picture, utterly brilliant. I've been devouring books about climbing in the Himalayas recently and this really does give a sense of just how big everything is.

Great photo, but I think that the climbers in view are actually heading up Lhotse, rather than Everest. This photo looks like it was taken in the Western Cwm, from part way up the slope to Lingtren?

If anyone has read "Into The Silence" by Wade Davies, there's a great series of maps in the book that give a great idea of the topography of the area.
