I'm toying with the idea of changing my car to something on a lease deal at the moment (not sure what though, but most likely a oil burning estate of some type).

However, the one thing that's holding me up is the dramatic effect that putting the deal on anything more than 10k PA has a huge effect on the price. I think I would be covered by 15k, but I'm struggling to find any good deals on those sort of miles at moment. Does anybody have any suggestions of sites that I can look at?

I've got a Merc SLK 250 CDi AMG and it's 430 a month inc VAT (3+23) on 15K/pa which I think is pretty reasonable and if you shop around you could probably get better. They're forever popping up.

That's a personal lease, by the way. Have a look at Freedom Contracts.

Had a Jaguar XF on 20k pa from Lingcars, however they don't seem remotely competitive these days. Now have a 640d on 16k pa direct from BMW for same money we paid for the XF, which is bargain in my opinion as £62k car compared with £35k car. Have a look at Contracthireandleasing website - plenty of options for more than 10k pa.

We got three pre-reg Superb's in early Oct. They were being flogged off as they were 12 platers and were pretty cheap. 22k miles, full maintenance, 24 months, was just under £300 plus VAT.

15k miles isn't a massive amount, they won't load the monthly repayment too much.

Try these guys, they're who we went with, they were quick and effective to deal with, and reasonably competitive price-wise. In fact, I found a Superb at a reasonable price there, if that floats your boat.

I recall that we argued about this before.

Certainly the lease company is hardly disadvantaged, but the poor guy or gal who saves up to buy a 3 year old second hand car for the first time and has the cambelt go because the mileage is showing half the actual is certainly hurt by your illegal act.

Thankfully, I believe in Karma. Think of me when you're starting to skid next time...

That's an offence under the Fraud Act which could earn you jail time. Daft thing to be recommending on an interweb site.
