English Wines for xmas

Can anyone recommend me some English Wines for xmas. I'm looking for the following.....

Red - £10 to £15
White - £10 to £15
Sparkling - Circa £20

Rondo for your red and ridgeview for your fizz. Never had a decent English white!

I thought Chapel Down, was supposed to be decent English Fizz. I think you can pick it up from Tesco or similar.

The sparkling white has a fabulous reputation . Served at Nathan Outlaw restaurants (Michelin 2 star).

I think Waitrose supply it.

Another vote for Ridgeview sparkling wine. I visited their vineyard a few months ago and had a little tasting session. Really nice people and delicious product (IMHO). Goes down very easily.

There are a few different ones including a sparkling rose. I know Waitrose do them, I am sure you can get them elsewhere.

Three Choirs is excellent. Bacchus and Colerodge Hill lovely, and sparkling very nice indeed.

Sparkling for 20, if you can find it, has to be limneys blanc de blanc. Really good drink. Nyetimber classic cuvee is also good, but expect to pay 26.

Not so helpful with wines I'm afraid, but know limneys do wines, so might be worth a pop.

Nyetimber or Camel for the Sparkles
Camel again for the white, I also like Stanlake Park

I've never had a great English Red, they are OK but I was told they don't produce much as we don't really have the climate needed for Red.

I'm not a great lover of wines by any stretch of the imagination, but, some friends got married at Denbies earlier in the year, I found their red very quaffable.

Denbies, Chapel Down and Nyetimber are very good. Bolney Estate is one of my favourites. www.englishwineonline.co.uk will point you in the right direction.

Also, if you are buying English wine from Tesco (and other places), make sure it's English and not 'British' which could come from anywhere and be bottled here.
