Hi,

We bought a 2003 Nissan Micra a couple of years ago for my daughter which unfortunately has turned out to be a complete pile of $£%%^. Since we bought it it's had to have a new timing chain, gearbox and clutch amongst other things, more recently though it has a couple of problems that make no sense that I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with:

First the engine warning light has come on and according to the garage it's a 'Parking gear sensor failure' which is to do with an automatic gear box, our car is manual...

Secondly it intermittently tries to stall when slowing down e.g. coming off the motorway onto a slip road. The engine looses revs and all the lights on the dashboard light up as if it's about to stall, then it picks up again.

Anyone got any ideas and if so do they think it would be better to get it fixed and then PX it or is it now a case of 'better the devil you know...'? Having spent so much money on it now I can't quite decide.

Thanks

Gareth

is it fuel injected ??

Sounds like a sensor is out of range if it is , probably the air flow meter or lambda
