SORN, when do I get my money?

Hi guys, SORN'd my car a while back, haven't heard anything from it, when/how do I get the £120 or so from the refund?

Mine took around 3 weeks, presuming you sent the disc back with a V14 (I think) form.

Yes, mine took about 3 weeks. Previous refunds have been much quicker.

Funny how if it's the other way round, you need to pay things a lot sooner than 3 weeks.

Sorning a vehical doesn't get you a refund, returning the tax disc does ?

Yes, sent the tax disc back with the form. How will they get the money to me? Cheque in post?

Once you have SORNED do they tell you what you can and can't do with the car?

For instance,

• Use on public road? - obviously not
• Park on public road? - I imagine not
• Use/park on your own driveway or farm? - I imagine OK

but how about,

• Use on private road with other houses on the road?
• Park on private road with other houses on the road?
