Having been introduced to pictures of this during the week on the Internet, I suddenly seem to have a huuuuge desire to experience it before I get too old/die/come to my senses/decide a week on a beach would be a better use of holiday.

It just looks...well..weirdly amazing...mad max meets the moulin rouge meets the Olympic opening ceremony meets Ibizan hedonism. Has anyone been? What's it like? At work I wear a suit, don't have tattoos, piercings or a smack habit, and the lack of apocalypse earlier today didn't come as a massive surprise. However with an appreciation (albeit in the past) of banging dance music and festivals, as well as the great outdoors, camping, meeting randoms and clever modern art, it really appeals. That said, I did get annoyed at V Festival a coiled of years back with people pissing near my tent, and the Travelodge was seeming like a half sensible option.

So any experiences out there people?

Burning Man isn't a rave/dance festival any more frown

Got friends who went when it was and the pictures were amazing, wish I had managed to get there when it was like that.

Now its very eco/arty, that said, doing mine and a mates joint 40th there, big group going over. One thing I can't wait for even if it is 3 years away smile

I have wanted to go for years but would of very much been an observer more so than a participator. After seeing the video below, I can certainly say I would participate the st out of this. Looks like a lot of fun!

Ummm, I have Googled this and can't actually work out what it is.......some pics look good others not so. Whatever, it looks like a once in a lifetime experience although somewhat odd (to a middle aged normal bloke like myself anyway). Bartering, no cash allowed, express yourself they say.......the opposite of 'normal' life then. Scary!

Hard-Drive - 40th birthday??? Need to get the passport stamped (which may prove slightly problematic after just declaring a trip to Rio in early 2014 without the wife) but worth further investigation.

Looks good:-

Although don't fancy yours much.....but if you're into hairy men.......

FlyingJase, definitely one to discuss over a few beers. Hmmm, naked Jesus bloke would certainly put me off my all American hot dog if he appeared at the wrong time, however those two girls on thier way to a fitness class certainly redress the balance. Are her legs actually that long or her her second name Pistorias?

I have to say a few photos of some PH logos RVs and no doubt a whole heap of stories after the event would be pretty damned cool...
