I've been off work the last few days. Work is quite physical so started feeling very off at work, jelly legged, slightly dizzy and disoriented o thought it might have been the Norovirus bug going about.
Rested at home the last 3 days and feeling better yesterday afternoon thought I was ok. Went out this morning to the local supermarket and found that when walking around the shop, still felt exactly the same. Drunken kind of disoriented and still jelly legged. I haven't got any cold symptoms and I'm not feverish although did feel uncomfortably warm when I was walking about.

Anyone felt like this lately? Hoping it's viral more than anything else being as it came on so suddenly.

Could be some kind of ear infection , that can affect balance or maybe an issue with your blood pressure .
Find a local walk in centre . It could be serious , get it checked out

I had flu years ago and it totally laid me up to the point where I could barely move. This seems to be associated with any exertion of energy. I'm fine when sat about, or just walking short distances, but if I try to run up the stairs or as I did this morning, walk around for any length of time, I just get that woozy feeling. I dont fancy going to the drop-in centre just yet because I dont want to catch anything else so close to Christmas! I'll ride it out tonight and tomorrow and see if I can get a quick appt with my Doc on Monday.

Could it be something like this;

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labyrinthitis

As your symptons sound similar to mine when I was diagnosed with this by the doctor.

That's what I was diagnosed with when I had the same symptoms. Over a period of months I tracked down the cause to a weight-gain/protein supplement! Been fine ever since, it was a horrible time.

I've had this the past few days. I've just attributed it to a lack of sleep coupled with a dose of the common cold.

I had exactly this after a particularly bad dose of the 'flu, inner ear infection being the cause. If I recall correctly the doctor put me on histamine tablets, it cleared up after week or so.

Thing is, I felt fine the day before when I was out cycling. Usual 20 miles no problem. It literally came on on Wednesday morning. I reckon if I ran up and down the stairs a couple of times right now, i'd throw up.

Isnt that low blood sugars? Wouldnt have thought so, its not really affecting my appetite which is odd. I can eat and not feel sick, but then move about a bit or exert energy and its that woozy feeling....

Labyrinthitis or similar vestibular problems sprung to mind when you wrote dizzy. It's related to low immunity.

I felt fine till I cleared my ears one day, you know the equalising pressure thing you do in plane, symptoms would probably come back if I tried it right now, as always the best advice is seek professional medical help. wink

Was just a thought. It doesn't have to be caused by you eating less (or not enough for your energy requirements), your body could be producing more insulin than you need.

Labyrinthitis is more likely but thought I'd offer an alternative wink The first stages of hypoglycaemia are very similar to being a bit tipsy.

It sounds very much like the symptoms I have with this ear infection. Ask for an urgent appointment at the docs, they should be able to see you the same day for something like that.
