I took a punt on a Cambridge Audio Dacmagic 2, I remember these being pretty good years ago, its arrived but as its secondhand no intructions, how do i wire this to my CD 63 se, I want to go CD63 to DAC to Arcam Delta amp, what are the interconnects called and whats the best way to do this.

Look on the back of each. Optical is easy cheap and for me works well. If not you need a digital inter connect with most likely BNC connector but could be RCA phono. In either case buy a reasonable low cost cable.

Thanks for your reply, i take it i should ignore the balanced outputs on the DAC because my Amp dosent have them however ive heard you need 75 ohm Phono leads, is this true or will normal Interconnects do it?

Normal RCA will be fine. Should you only have balanced outputs you can buy a balanced to RCA cable

You should use a 75ohm coaxial interconnect for the digital connection between CD player and DAC then from the DAC you can use standard interconnects assuming you have phono outputs in addition to balanced XLRs.

As a previous post suggests you can connect CD player to DAC with toslink optical as another option instead of digital coaxial. If you choose coaxial digital, that's where you want the 75ohm type.

IME Co-ax is the better connection of the two.
