Brookbank Kayaks and Canoes - Closed

Email saying the stores have closed for business, though online business remains. Shame as really liked the store in Stockport, though it was never busy I must admit. Staff were always friendly and helpful, hope most of them stayed on as understand the online business is staying open.

Looking to buy a touring/general purpose next year, not sure where i'll go to have a look now as its the sort of thing you do want to sit in and try before you buy.

Yeah I heard that last week. Customer said he was heading over to buy a kayak, but they were no longer there. Customer drove all the way from Coventry to Lymington to buy it from me instead!

This all seems to suggests that they are liquidating even the online business and that, in effect, it's a 'closing down sale'?

My mistake, I didnt read the email properly.... says

I misread that as being on-line ad-infinitum.

Thing I liked was they had lots of boats out to try - anyone do similar, i'm in sheffield but happy to do a decent drive if you actually get to sit in and try the boats. I dont get how you can buy a kayak over the web unless you know exactly what you want and as each is fractionally different.... oh well. I'll have a propr look come Feb when I get bonus.. maybe!
